What is a Config File?

Every VPN app uses a specific file format. Download the right one for your app.

Check the status board
Scroll up and check if your app & network combo is marked "Patched" a new config may already be available.

Update the app
Open Play Store and check for updates to your VPN app. Outdated versions often stop working after ISP changes.

Re-import the config
Delete the old config from the app and re-download and import the latest file from our site.

Try a different server
Some configs include multiple servers. Switch to a different server within the same config before giving up.
5
Request a fresh config
If none of the above work, submit a request below. We'll build a fresh config for your network within 48 hours.

Are these config files safe to use? +
Yes. The config files we share are configuration files only, they contain no malicious code. They tell your VPN app how to connect to a server. We only share configs for well-known, widely-used VPN apps. That said, always download apps from the official Google Play Store and never from unknown sources.
Why has my config stopped working? +
ISPs regularly update their systems, which can patch or block certain config files. This is normal and expected. When a config stops working, check our status board at the top of this page for updates, or subscribe to our email list to be notified the moment a new working config is available for your network.
Is using a VPN for free internet legal in my country? +
VPN usage is legal in most countries including Zimbabwe, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, India, and Pakistan. However, laws vary by country and change over time. We recommend checking your local regulations. VPN4Pros provides information only, always use the internet responsibly and within the laws of your country.
How often are the configs updated? +
We test and update configs every week. When a config is patched by an ISP, we work on a new one and publish it as quickly as possible, usually within 24 to 48 hours of being notified. The status board on this page reflects the most current state of every config we track.
My network isn't listed, can I request a config? +
Absolutely. Use our config request form to tell us your country, network, and preferred VPN app. We'll research and build a config for your network and notify you by email when it's ready. Most requests are fulfilled within 48 hours.
